Star Chamber Mobbing v. Open Review

As mentioned at the outset, I’ll return to the financial problems at USM’s Foundation next week. Keep in mind that the next major financial scandal will not be in the business world, though business corruption continues unabated.  (See The Wall Street Journal stories about current investigations into the corruption of executive options.) The dollar value may not be WorldCom or Enron magnitude, but its source, holier-than-thou universities, will be revealed as corrupt as the greedy, venal capitalists that are no longer viewed by the public as a few bad apples. Stealing from kids is likely to be the corrupt administrators' claim to fame.  Keep in mind, Enron’s financial statements were audited, just as USM Foundation's financial statements are audited. Remember, too, Enron's executives fought hard to keep their financial shenanigans secret.
